Hans, I want to thank you for the sounds. I have been able to lead them into the VFX via Sysex and it is sure bringing back memories of an earlier (and much easier) musical time.....it is great. I have many synths, one being a Roland XP60 with expansion boards in it. I posted to that group if there was a Sysex converter that would convert .syx files to .mid files so I could play them back either from the Roland XP60 or my Yamaha MDF-II MIDI File Player. One of the guys in that group sent me a program that does just that. I was able to load all of the single sounds I could find into the VFX. It is really great to have some of those old sounds back. It cannot load full banks though, so I am looking for all of the single .syx sounds I can find. Do you know (or anyone else in the group) of a conversion program that allows for banks of sounds to be converted from a .syx format to a .mid format? Additionally, can we load the seqiencer in the same fashion? Can it be loaded from Sysex or does it have to be loaded by floppy? If it can be loaded from Sysex, can I get a copy of the sequencer OS so I can try it out? I will get the floppy fixed when our tax refund check comes, but until then, I do not mind doing it the old fashioned way. Thank you again for all of your help, Harry Ebbeson III Ebbeson Management Group www.geocities.com/ebbrecords
