A less convenient way would be to split banks into single patch sysex files. You could use both SOUNDLIB or VFXLIB for that. Soundlib is available in the grou\ufffds file section. If you can't find VFXLIB just tell me, I can upload it to the file section. There used to be a SW from www.giebler.com (the web site still exists but they didn't react when I sent a request to them) where a conversion program is available that can convert sequences in VFX/SD format (as stored on VFX/SD floppies into standard midi files and vice versa. However, I'm not aware if the midi files could contain related patches. And this would only solve your problem when the sequences in VFX format could be sent via sysex... I doubt all this. The program would cost round 30$ anyway.
