There is a way round. Make a startup floppy to boot from. In this case you should have / create a FAT partition on your hard disk since NTFS wouldn't work with DOS. Or use FreeDOS which was alreadsy distributed over this list. Search the archive. There you have a ROM drive that you can use temporarily. However, everything has to be transferred or saved on floppies then - it's a bit inconvenient when you use that stuff more often. For a one time job it would do.
