There is a way round. Make a startup floppy to boot from. In this case
you should have / create a FAT partition on your hard disk since NTFS
wouldn't work with DOS. Or use FreeDOS which was alreadsy distributed
over this list. Search the archive.
There you have a ROM drive that you can use temporarily. However,
everything has to be transferred or saved on floppies then - it's a bit
inconvenient when you use that stuff more often. For a one time job it
would do.

Haveing read the 'read me file' I now find that my windows system 
(2000 Pro) won't run the programmes in Dos mode, so unless I 
reinstall my old Win 98 OS, it looks like I'm stuffed unless theres a 
way round it!
