  Description : This patch uses the trick of bending the pitch then transposing back to normal pitch.  Push the mod wheel all the way forward.  These are the settings you get withe the patch select buttons:  (setting the patch to "HOLD" on the "Pach Select" page is very useful) OO is bent down *O is bent up, O* is both mixed.  ** is a detuned layer.

Thanks alot for your VFX Calibration Fix document you put together 
and posted to the site. I have been putting off that fix for some 
time now, even though I had been experiencing the infamous problem 
for several years. Laying on the keyboard always seem to help (ha). 
Truly - a picture is worth a thousand words. Your procedure actually 
verified the correct boards to work on. The original "fix" document 
floating around was a little misleading.

Haveing read the 'read me file' I now find that my windows system 
(2000 Pro) won't run the programmes in Dos mode, so unless I 
reinstall my old Win 98 OS, it looks like I'm stuffed unless theres a 
way round it!

You need two disks - one per image.

There is a way round. Make a startup floppy to boot from. In this case
you should have / create a FAT partition on your hard disk since NTFS
wouldn't work with DOS. Or use FreeDOS which was alreadsy distributed
over this list. Search the archive.
There you have a ROM drive that you can use temporarily. However,
everything has to be transferred or saved on floppies then - it's a bit
inconvenient when you use that stuff more often. For a one time job it
would do.
