I'll bet there are some people here who would be willing to sell a VFX ROM 
cartridge so
you could convert it to an EEPROM. I remember Ensoniq dealers would give 
those ROM
cartridges away for free just so they could get you into their store to give 
you their sales
pitch for the latest gear they were trying to sell.

Making it from scratch ~ it would not be hard to make the circuit board (as 
it a dual sided
board, and not a multi-layer board); but, how could you possibly make the 
plastic case?
