Re: [Ensoniq-VFX-SD] Error Message When using Disk Drive : "Disk Error : Bad Device ID"

you shouldn't use HD floppies in a DD drive, the floppies will wear out
faster.

Error : Bad Device ID"

Get a blank floppy and see if you can format it and save banks to it.
That will help rule out the floppy as the cause of the problem.

I believe the SD sees all floppies as Single Density even if they have the
HD cutout on the floppy - so it shouldn't matter what you use.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum having just acquired a VFX-SD.

I am enjoying using it and exploring it's odd menus, but am unable to load
the sequencer thanks to the following error when I click 'Load':

"Disk Error : Bad Device ID"

Is this because the disk drive needs replacing or is it more likely that
it's just the one single disk i have is corrupted?

Has anyone else seen this error?

I thank you for your help!
