I can't go on without you!!!

I can't go on without you!!!

2007-02-21 by soundthinker2001

First I had a VFX. Then I sold it and got an SD-1 when they came out.
I then had it upgraded to 32 voice when that became available. (at the
same time going thru the same metamorphosis with all the ensoniq
samplers, eps, eps16+, then ASR-10 AND owned a DP-4 - looked like an
Ensoniq sales room!!). Then after a while a had to sell all my midi
gear due to the typical finacial ups and down of being a muso. ho hum,

THEN many years later bought another SD-1 32 voice, with which I did a
"new age" CD that is still selling slowly but surely. (you can hear
demo tracks at http://www.aura-chi.com.au/musiccd.html if yer
interested) I also collected HEAPS of patches and also made a few
myself (and posted all of them to this group as a set called "thelot",
 - which some bugger is now charging for on his web-site BTW - damn
cheek of some people!!! - They were my gift to the group for all the
support I got over the years)

BUT, when I bought my you-beaut - fan-dangled Motiv-7, I was SURE I
wouldn't need my SD-1 anymore, so I sold it. D'OH!!!!

Well I was wrong. Well I love you darling, and I did you wrong, I know
you're out there some-where, waiting for me, pining for me, just like
I'm pining for you.

In other words....

Does ANYONE out there want to part with an SD-1 32 voice? (I'd
consider a 21 voice, but would much prefer a 32).

I'm still not a rich man, so the price would have to be a fair one....
but if you've got a machine that is gathering dust - please let me know.

I'm in Australia, so I know that complicates things a little, but hey,
maybe the guy in Adelaide who bought mine is tired of her and wants to
send her home - no THAT would be a hoot!!

here's hoping

cheers

Roger

Did you find that having all Ensoniq gear made it sound kind of the
same? I have a VFX and an EPS16+ and both sound kind of blue-ish to
me, in synaesthesic way. I think it's the FX or the converters.
