Thank you for your attention!

Thank you for your attention!

Thank you for your attention!
I would like to introduce a good company who mainly do business in brand shoes, clothes, handbags, and so on. Now the company is under sales promotion and all the products are sold nearly at their cost price. They provide best products and best serivce to their customers. As one export&import company, all their goods are brand new and original and with official warranty. Even the price will be a surprise for you!Of course, the most important ,they accept PAYPAL!

It doesn't matter if "John" (you mean Joe?) sent this unintentionally! Malware don't matter! What he did is what he did and now he is going to have to have his testicles removed! He will no longer be "Joe"...but rather, "Jo-anne!" AND he will also be cursed with malfunctioning Ensoniqs for the rest of his days!! As well as his children and their children!! They will always be owners of malfunctioning Ensoniqs...all of them!! That is the price that must be paid for this transgression!! Now OFF with his balls!!

LOL.

Sorry, I just had ta...hehehe

Uh oh. John's got some malware ... (he's been here since 2004, so this isn't drop-in spamming).

Ok guys...remember don't be mad at John it's not his fault...it's technology's fault.
Anyone here recall when Dwight's VFXSD tossed it self in the dumpster? before you loose it and skid off the road of sanity and slide into a family of 4, join the Angry Luddite Yahoo group and let your tech stress flow.
Were here to listen!

Yup. Raiding your address book and spamming everyone in it is MINOR.
Watching all your clicks, and siphoning off passwords and credit card numbers is the serious problem.

There's also the drafting of your machine into a botnet to attack servers as well. If you don't run antivirus software on Windows, start! Simply visiting some sites can end up loading this crap on your machine.

No reports of this kind of thing on OS X ... yet. (There have been a few Trojans that require the code to actually be installed on the machine ... mostly purporting to be "special codecs" for viewing porn.)

Back to the topic at hand ... has anyone got a recommendation of a cheap *modern* PC that will run EDE? I'd like to be able to make backups with less than a dozen disk swaps...

Hello, Joe:

Maybe I didn't understand you well but, wouldn't you prefer to make backups
of the VFX patches, presets and sequences in SYSEX files, and forget the
floppy disks?

Of course, you will have to connect your VFX to the PC (MIDI interface) and
use MIDI-OX (freeware).

Make me know if you need help and I will try to explain how.

Hasta pronto.

Alfons

I have actually - I've transferred everything over to my Mac, and I've got backups now -- but I'd really like to (for instance) be able to convert my sequences into SMFs (the VFX won't last forever, and I don't want the sequences to be plain old lost). Without a machine that can run the Giebler software successfully, I'm dependent on having some kind of a VFX around - not that I plan to get rid of it, but things wear out.

this is simply pointless.

record every midi output channel in your sequencer.

that's it.

Hey just for the record, when you expand the sequencer memory you have
less disc swaps! This is because you use the seq memory to hold the
data your making the copy of. Last year I started to mess with one of
my VFXSDs memory by expanding it past the factory update to 4 megs. I
ran into issues but I am still working on it.

We have different needs and goals. That's OK. We can drop it.

This is a bit harsh.
Not everyone is at your level and to some people you might be irritatingly uneducated, however, the point of groups and forums is simple, to share what we know when some one asks a question, even if it is the same question over and over. Be tolerant of other peoples learning process. Please be considerate to others who honestly wish to be more than they already are.

Thanks, Dean. I agree. Cuz, I will probably be asking some very dumb questions that I'd really like to get the answers to.
