Ensoniq SD1....sequenced over 150 song on it....

2011-12-13 by harry2611

The Ensoniq SD1, to me, was one of the greatest synths/sequencers ever made...I have written and used it to record over 150 songs so far...started back in 1991 with it and still use it some...
Question....my operating system has always been 3.00 If I ever lose the disc for it...is it possible to upgrade to the 4.10 disk? or will I have to stay with the 3.00?

peace

Hi!
There is an image of the OS3.0 disc in the files section.
Best wishes,
Claus

Hi, Harry,

Congrats on your prolific output. I really like my SD-1 but I haven't been quite that busy with it. I have a good number of keyboards and that's one of 4 that stay set up in my studio all the time (the others: an Alesis QS 8.1, Mason & Hamlin A, and a Hammond A100 w/Leslie 251). I find the SD-1 to be very convenient to sketch out chord progressions/grooves for my students to practice improvisations with. I suppose it's all what you get used to. I like Cakewalk's sequencer too.

My unit came with the 4.10 OS and I've never seen any other OS. Does anyone know if there is any advantage to one over the other or did the OS just change to accommodate some hardware change?

Cheers,
Bill
