Preset Program number

I am triggering a sound module from the VFX-SDII. In the MIDI page of 
the Performance Parameters I have set the Program Change number to 
008, Channel 1. It saves this number but still only sends the default 
Program Change of 022. The MIDI MODE is set to *EXT*. The other two 
Sounds in the Preset are set to Local mode.

022 is the default Program Change of the Cartridge, Bank A, Preset 2. 
The bank of Presets (3 sounds each) default to Program Change 020 to 
029. The Master MIDI base channel of the VFX is Channel 1. Software 
is ROM v2.00, KCP v2.33

So, it is sending Program Change information, but does not send the 
number I have programmed into one of the Sounds of the Preset, just 
the default number. What could I be doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

just a guess
but i thought the MODE had to be in either MULTIMODE or A or B
it's been awhile so ignore if im wrong

Well, I figured it out. In the System Midi Control Page, the Send 
Channel parameter needs to set to Track, rather than Base (channel). 
Duh! I knew this, but from a while ago, so I guess I didn't know it 
for the 2nd time!
