Yes. The Prophet 5 rev.1 and rev.2 used SSM chips while the rev.3 used CEM
chips. However the filter chip used in the Prophet 5 was a SSM 2040 while
the one in the Fairlight was a SSM 2044. AFAIK the 2040 was very sensitive
to static electricity. The 2044 was more robust; it was also used in the
Korg Polysix and MonoPoly or the PPG Wave.
