Bonjour Jean-Bernard,

 Merci bien ! There is no reason why you couldn't use 2.5" IDE notebook
drives now with a Fairlight CMI rev9.34 - 11+ instruments. The 2.5" IDE -
SCSI 2 adaptor looks really good. The connectors inside the CMI use 50 pin,
so this should connect without any problem. The thought of 2 - 4 light
weight 2.5" drives is quite appealing !
 Of course, there is still the 4 gigabyte limitation of the CMI software. In
fact, I think it formats to 4095 megabytes maximum storage. So on a typical
50 - 60 gig notebook drive you are missing out on 46 - 56 meg !!!
 Maybe Klause-Michel can find a way to move beyond the 4095 meg formatting
limit ? :-)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
