I successfully used a compact flash memory card with my rev9 CMI using a SCSI to IDE converter plugged into one of these http://www.acscontrol.com/Index_ACS.asp? Page=/Pages/Products/CompactFlash/IDE_To_CF_Adapter.htm. Very quiet :-).
