I know it probably would never happen, but it would be great if Fairlight started to service or supply parts for their vintage systems, if only to keep their heritage alive. I reckon they'd make a fair bit of pocket money! As Pete now lives in Australia, there is no-one in the UK, that I know of, who I could trust with my machine. It was so handy him being here. Come on Pete, move back over to the UK (preferably Derby) ;-) Saying that, I have recently heard of an electronics guru, not too far from me, that may be the man! I hope you get your query answered and neutralise your panic. I know how you feel, I often ask myself similar questions regarding most of my older equipment. I mean, I know you can use it to some extent without the pen, but that would kinda suck. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about getting these things serviced. I hate to think that my multi-thousand dollar investment is hanging by a little coiled cable. :-( I know Peter Wielk is supposed to be the guy to go to for service, but I'm not sure he could do much in the way of lightpen repair. So...anyone else had any experience with repairing lightpens? CRTs as well, for that matter. Just having a moment of panic here. :-) Laurence Yahoo! Groups Links
