The Cd is OK, not great but OK. I have the CD and two series IIx's. The samples will pass in a mix but it would best be served to sample them to a ensoniq mirage or other 8 bit sampler. Alot of what appeares to be lost in sampling a IIx is the fact that the real IIx has bad sample loop points. These sample loop points are definately audiable on the IIx, When most people sample the IIx they make the loops very smooth and this is not how the IIx sounds. I have found that if I take my mirage and place the sample from the CD on it with a short sample rate and only one sample point it sounds more realistic.
