Hi Colin,

Will search eBay for a hard drive! That doesn't sound like it'll be a
problem. 

I'm running OS 9,  REV 6.03B but there's also another version number
that 
shows mid boot. I'll take note and get back to you tomorrow when I
boot it up 
again.

I've got almost all of library 1 on the hard disk and some of library
2, I can e 
mail you the voice names  I do have if you like. I've deleted some
that I knew I 
wouldn't be using and I'm not sure what the previous owners removed.
I was 
smart enough when I first got this to write down the full directory
of each tape 
so I knew what voices I had and where. 

Sorry you can't get to your Hans Zimmer sounds...those would be a
goldmine!

LOL! From the sounds of what you've got, I probably would be knocking
on 
your door tomorrow  <GG> I've not really done any sampling yet, only
tried it 
out with a couple sounds from my Yamaha DX7. I've been wanting to do
some 
sampling, just a matter of getting people round here to bugger off so
I've got 
the time to do it. I had planned to spend some time with a few power
tools and 
some broken glass (I do stained glass so I've got plenty of that on
hand) to 
see what I could do with mixing waveforms and such. 

I'll open the mainframe tomorrow and check to see if it's all
connected right. 

I'm afraid to format a tape to try again because I'll lose a lot of
sounds I want to 
use, likewise I'm now afraid to delete any sounds off the hard disk
because I'm 
almost positive I'll not be able to get them again off the tape. 

I'll back a sound up on the tape I recently purchased and try to get
it off the 
tape again. Will let you know how that goes. 

In closing I want to really thank you for starting this group. You
and Gerald 
have been instrumental to me and I really appreciate it!
