I supose what I'm saying, is that given Slow tools has had the industry standard tag for quite a while now, It's nice as a punter to be presented with a great bit of kit that puts presure on that mantle. I have also owned a Slow tools system, thus the name I have given it, as well as syn clav and way too many other systems through my 35 years worth. I too, love fairlight, Still have a cmi as well as my mfx3+. In my oppinion and it's only an oppinion, the CC- 1 "WILL" make quite an in road on the industry. Not sure if it will filter through to the public sector, but as a pro? S**t yeah! I will be placing my order. --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, David Bulog <d2ba@...> wrote: > > Adding to my post--I personally own a Pro Tools HD system > I must say I was extremely disappointed and as were other posters > that any posts about the Fairlight CC-1 on the Digidesign User Group > http://duc.digidesign.com/ is removed by the administrator so no > one knows what is going on and we wont have a chance to A to B etc > > Dave > > > On 3/12/2006, at 7:57 AM, David Bulog wrote: > > > > > I was the original poster that made the statement that it is far to > > early to say that the CC-1 is better than Pro Tools HD > > I love the Fairlight but no matter how good the hardware is -- what > > about the software--Pro Tools 7 is great software and it will take > > a lot to beat it and get people to switch--same with Apple Logic > > I think the company that could knock Pro Tools off the throne is > > Apple --if they combined Logic and Final Cut Pro into a high end > > product and teamed up with Apogee for the hardware > > > > Dave > > > > > > On 3/12/2006, at 4:18 AM, big bloke wrote: > > > >> --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, David Bulog <d2ba@> wrote: > >> > > >> > I would say its far to early to say that CC-1 is better than Pro > >> > Tools HD because its too new and has not been proven. > >> > >> > >> > >Not to early at all to sing it's praises, from all accounts. > >> 15 years total man hours, put into this new revelation and is it > >> just pure coincidence that digi design are advertising for FFTP > >> designers?
