Dear Laurent,

I'm sorry but I don't understand why you joined this group ?

It seems you don't have any Fairlight and not interested
to understand its technical difference with the technology
available today.

If you're only here expecting some Fairlight owners would
spend some time converting their sounds librairy so you
can use these sounds on a PC, I'm afraid you're loosing your
time ...

No-one would do such a thing. And there's a good reason for
that. The "confusion" it would create between "a fairlight
sound" and "the sound of a Fairlight".

All the "hot" discussion you had with James last WE was
due to this confusion. James thought you had a Fairlight IIx
and could not admit that this machine needed a preamp to
sound powerfull. But it seems you don't own a Fairlight and
only used this cheap IIx samples audio CD on a sampler which
explains the behaviour you experienced.

This kind of confusion is not in the interest of the Fairlight
enthousiast community. If you are really interested to have
a machine sounding like a Fairlight IIx, I would suggest you
find a way to get one. It's not easy but it's doable !

Best regards.

Laurent.

PS: I don't care if you use picture from my Fairlight or from
other people, but please have the honesty to advertise it is
not yours.
