It plays the full sample length. Because it previews by reading the
sample direct from the disk, it isn't limited by waveform ram. You
can tell it's doing this as the Fairlight logo in the top left
corner of the screen blinks (in time with the LED on your hard drive
if there is one) as it does so. The samples played are "raw" as they
are not modified by any settings on the parameters page (filters,
volume, etc.) Incidentally, you can monitor sounds on the Waveform
Edit page by scanning the small box (window) with the pen.
