Fwiw, the CPU card on my series III has the rework wire, the CPU card on my IIX does not. I don't know if that's consequential or not. Might be worth checking out? are the IIX and III CPU cards interchangeable?
Also, the ROMs on the series III card are marked with different numbers and so are presumable different files??
On the subject of ROMS, i have a burner and probably some spare blank eproms and would be more than happy to help a fellow fairlight owner out and send them off to you at no charge (if you'll provide me with an address and contact number (for customs). The only catch is, i have to find and set up the burner again. That's it though. Meaning if it could be allright if it took me a week or two to get together the minute i find that thing (i've just moved is the thing) I'll burn you a set and send them to you to help?

please find out if you can if that's a III or IIx CPU card or if that matters. Is there a date on the card anywhere? if you can use the III card (if that's what it is) or if you think you'll have a better chance of swapping it for what you need, I can copy the roms from my III's cpu card and see if those work??? with the same time constraint

Do all CPU cards have a cable soldered on top of it? I saw the same cable on David Morley's
CPU card. Which makes me think that it's a factory mod.
