My IIx had developed the all-too-common screen rot, so I recently replaced the tube. I found a compatible NOS replacement for ~$100 (it lacks the front plate/shield that the original had), and spent a few hours swapping it in. Pics are posted in the Photos section. If you haven't worked around TVs or monitors before, this can be quite dangerous. It should not be attempted by one unfamiliar with the hazards! Joe
