Hi Billy ! Thanks for the answer. The IIx unfortunately doesn´t sync to Midi. The manuals that I have for the General Interface card doesn´t go into detail about how to sync the IIx. What I like to do is feed clocks ( 384 ppq as I can decipher from various sources ) into the CMI IIx. But should I connect it to the Midi box Sync input with a cable from the Midi box clock out to the CMI sync input or should I only connect to the Midi Box or should I only connect to the CMI Sync input. That´s the question. Hmmm..... Maybe I should solder some adapters. I never ttried synching with midi though i would assume this can be done on the IIx. I sync with SMPTE now on a series III. good luck. billyrock --- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "WT" <waveterm@...> wrote: > > Bump ! > > No one ? > > WT > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "WT" <waveterm@...> > To: <Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com> > Sent: Sunday, January 03, 2010 2:03 AM > Subject: [Fairlight-CMI] Syncing a IIx > > > > So....I´ve made my masterpiece of music using Page R and want to sync it > > to > > an external clock source. > > > > Where do I connect my syncsource ? > > > > To the CMI XLR Sync connector or, > > > > to the 3-pin DIN connector on the General Interface box ? > > > > And/or should I make a special cable that goes from the General > > Interface > > Box Sync Out ( 4 ) to the CMI XLR Sync input ? > > > > WT > > > > >
