Who did your service the last time in NY? Was that Dan Bols?
Several years ago he sent me all of his spares and and documentation. I've been doing some service on them lately, but frankly there aren't a lot of people looking for service on CMIs.
If there's anything that you need done I'm in the Milwaukee area and also do the occasional trip to the West Coast for service work.
Thanks!
Tim

It was series III, I still have all the library's of ZZtop and others. I still have not went threw all the sound data disks that I have. I have owned 3 series III's. I did keep one. I have owned 4 series IIX's and have kept 1. Huge library's. I will consider trading some sounds with users in the future for some interesting sounds. It will be in the future as my machines are in storage in the West Coast of the United States. Anyone that is interested in trading interesting sounds for both machines can email me. I'll kept there contact information and in the future get with them as I don't have much time due to my training and contract schedule at the moment. Please indicate the sounds, machine and source (artist etc,) where the sounds came from. Also is there anyone on the West Coast of the United States that may service the cmi? And who's the current service guys for the CMI's in the United States. Had mine serviced last in New York around 2006 by a former fairlight tech.. Have had most of my toys in storage for the most part after that.Greg--- On Wed, 3/14/12, dd_62622 <dd_626@hotmail.com> wrote:

I'am an afterburner fan as well.
cmi is written all over roughboy.
a smooth and constand cmi "oooh" versus distorted oldschool r&b rock guitars.
an atmosphere never reproduced as far as I know.
the blues guitar solo at the end backed by a constant sighing sarah cohen is nothing less than devine.
Is this the series III in action ? or the IIx?
cheers,
David

I did own a failright that was used by ZZTop. The best thing is that I have the library as well. More than half the battle is in the library's.
