According to this page the development of the Fairlight CMI is based on the Motorola Exorciser: http://silicium.org/site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=115:motorola-exorset-165&catid=13:us&Itemid=29 Luck wants that I was given a Motorola EXORset for free. A later version of the Exorciser. The machine still powers up, but I'm stuck at the boot prompt. I've got no experience with this machine. But since it's also based on the 6809 I was wondering if there is any use for it with a IIx. Perhaps some components inside of it that are compatible with the IIx. It would be great if the 5 1/4" drives could be used with the IIx (until there's an easy HxC solution). Anyone have any experience with these machines?
