I'm not kidding, but I'm not selling them either :-) I made backups of all my Disks to 3,5" Floppies, as I have the IIx with this feature. Now I'm thinking about installing a Floppy emulator or a CF card reader, but have to find the time and muse to do so. It's easier to make image files from the 3,5" then the 8" Disks and vice versa. And you're right, who dares wins ;-) On Dec 6, 2012, at 11:43 AM, Joe Sleator wrote: > I wonder what my IIx Mike Oldfield library would go for ;-) You are kidding, right? If not, I sure hope you have backups! Add to the craziness in general that is eBay (where you generally win by acting crazier than the competition) the craziness of not knowing whether a single one of the diskettes contains real data, but parting with real money nonetheless. What you then end up with approaches weapons-grade crazy and has to be stored in special containers under armed guard. I'm going by the (possibly inaccurate) aphorism: "Qui audet adipiscitur" The important, if less well-known footnote being: "Qui audet, Asinum suum, Ad eum ut possit etiam tradidit" I'd of course rather the former! I wonder what my IIx Mike Oldfield library would go for ;-) Really curious if they still work...also most of the PSB drum sounds on the first album came from the Emu SP-12 (even mostly internal sounds) as far as I know... Great tracks anyways :-) On Dec 5, 2012, at 11:48 PM, KyleR wrote: > I see these disks sold for nearly US$2500...wow! > > Is the buyer a member here?
