Hi Frank,
Not sure if Joe answered, so I had a look for you. Shape is "tadpole" indeed. The "tail" is 9 mm, the head 3 mm long, 2 mm thick. I suggest to use a glue that stays somewhat flexible.
Kind regards,
Peter Kersten.

Hey there Joe!
Apologies for the intrusion, but hoping you could assist with a project I'm working on... Looking to replace the black gasket around my CMI's monitor (got mine with it missing). I'm going down the road of having some custom extrusion made for this.
From the pics you posted on your project, it looks like the gasket is in a "tadpole" (head atop tail) shape and not a "P" shape. Are you able to confirm this for me? I believe the head of the gasket is approx. 5mm in diameter... Could you take a guess
at the length of the tail? It looks to be over 1cm, but I'm not sure. ;
Also, what material did you use to reattach the gasket to the monitor after replacing the CRT?
Any feedback you could provide would be most appreciative. Thanks again for all you've done for our community!
Best - Frank
