RE: [Fairlight-CMI] General questions

1) Roll on CMI Explorer
3) I simply opened my pen, blew in it and screwed it back together. It now works fine :-D

Subject: [Fairlight-CMI] General questions

Actually, while Im in a posting mood, I was wondering if I could ask
a few questions to the group.....

1) I want a nice way to backup to voice files. I had heard I think
that some people had got scsi zip drives working with their series
3's. Is this a good way to do it ? WHat device do I need ?

2) I changed my processor card, and now have a fault whereby all of
the 2mb memory boards cause digital distortion accross, the system
when plugged in. I also have 3 x 8 mb cards. Running with just the
8mb cards, the system runs perfectly. Has anyone come accross this
issue and knows anything about it ?

3) My pen pointer skips around the screen a bit. Sometimes its OK,
and sometimes not. I thought I had fixed it by plugging the alpha
keyboard directly into the mainframe, instead of chaining through the
music keyboard, but it still happens every now and again. Any ideas
on how to resolve this one ?

Cheers,

Arron
