Am I being dumb, but shouldnt it have a few more cmi331 cards in the 
back ?

that info is bogus !  from the photos one can see it has
four CMI-331 voice cards.  this provides 8 voices total
(2 voices per voice card).

router is NOT installed, as you can see there is no
card with 3 external DB-25 connectors for the router
audio breakout cables. router was not supported with rev 4 sw.

there is no stereo mix out card shown, it is the standard
mono mix out card with 1 XLR jack. (2 XLR would be required for
stereo)

this CMI is quite old from a software & hardware revision level,
assuming it is indeed running rev 4 CMI software.  my advice is
that this is a spare parts machine for you, nothing more.
$3K for parts & the cases, I'm not sure I'd pay a dime more.

it does look clean from a physical/mechanical integrity
perspective. and I have those road cases, they are nice to ship in !

 - notice that in the picture, there are only 4 cards.
 How is this possible?

What is the HD size? 70 megs 

RAM? (512k Ram--16k video ram -- 512k waveform
processor private ram -- 64k program ram on each
channel card -- 16k general interface private ram --
14mb waveform ram)

Waveform Supervisor? (68000 waveform  supervisor /Dual
6809 cpu)

How many outputs? {8 x 2 = (16)}

Does it have the "stereo mix out" module? yes
