Additions to my IIx auction at VEMIA

Additions to my IIx auction at VEMIA

2004-11-02 by daniel_iix

In spite of running the risk of being flogged some more over my
reserve price, I wanted to notify anyone interested that my auction
will also include the following original Fairlight manuals (along with
the original User Manual):

Series IIx Manual Supplement - February 1985
Music Composition Language -February 1983
Page R - Real Time Composer - July 1983
Film Music Processor - May 1984
OS9 Level 2 Editor - Version 2.4
OS9 Level 2 Commands

And these two bits of original history:

Fairlight Telnet Modem Program Operation Manual - October 1985 (Marked
Preliminary)

The Qasar Dual Processor Microcomputer Operation Manual - December 1980

After 1 1/2 long years of politely waiting, I finally received them
from the previous owner. The VEMIA auction description should be
revised shortly to include them.

High though the price may be, I don't believe a more complete system
has been offered for sale in recent history.

On a side note in reference to a recent posting, I can confirm that
the IIx's 8" drives are hard wired for for specific voltage
requirements; mine is 110v 60 cy. (North America standard), so keep
in mind that along with high shipping costs, transplanting my IIx to a
50 cy. country may bring about other cost issues as well.

Best regards,

Daniel

I want to reiterate that I was not passing any kind of judgment on
your reserve price, only inquiring about the price range I should
expect to pay to buy a system. I wish you the best of luck in your
auction.
