E-bay IIx Thriller

E-bay IIx Thriller

2005-04-30 by hansnijhof

Heartbeat of 150, am I gonna be the highest bidder. No unfortunately
not, but it has been a very exiting 30 minutes. I congratulate
Dommonks (whoever he may be) and thank all people (especially James
aka Aman-Ray) who were supportive and gave advise (for the young at
heart).
Hans (from The Netherlands).

Hi Hans,

Well, better luck next time.

This is far too exciting, three gorgeous machines on e-bay in 30 minutes.
I need a break :-)

I can imagine you are disappointed, but there will be more systems.
Surprisingly these prices are moderate. I recall the synclavier PSMT
towers in december (december 26 to be exact) which I believe went for a
very good price too.

Congratulations Laurent with your Synclavier !

Best regards,
Harald.

Hi Guys,

Yes it was a thriller, however I have to say that the CMI 3 went for too
much ( £ 2300 ) This is an old CMI 6.04 OS machine and to get it updated to
OS 9.34 is quite difficult and expensive. In fact this was CMI 008 so it was
a very early one off the assembly line !
It may involve shipping the mainframe to Australia !

Regards,
