Fairlight-CMI

Hi ,

I have been trying to play my Fairlight CMI 3 from a Roland Midi keyboard. I
have the keyboard midi'd into input A and I have changed the input to A on
the Fairlight. I have loaded a voice and assigned that voice to midi channel
1. I cannot get the keyboard to communicate with the CMI at all. I know that
the keyboard is transmitting on channel 1. Can someone please advise me on
what I may have overlooked ?

Hi James,

If I remeber correctly, by default the SYSTEM is configured so that  
the first VOICE is
played by channel 1 from Inputs A & B & C. The second voice by  
channel 2 from
Inputs A & B & C. etc...  And the fairlight music keyboard use  
channel D which playing
is the current VOICE.

But I think the default SYSTEM can be customized.... Have you also  
tryed Input B & C ?
