Hi Peter,

C O O L . . .

I don't sell any Fairlight Manual !
I don't have any right on Fairlight (Soft, Hard, Manual, sound) ...
But, I think it's good to share any OLD Fairlight stuff for Fairlight 
user's...

I given one copy of "Fairlight Archive" (PDF compilation, on CD-ROM) 
all Fairlight stuffs to Peter Vogel !
This PDF are from me (I bought to Fairlight Australia (in 1990)), 
friends, you (Package send to me in the paste)...

It's not the last version of this "FAIRLIGHT ARCHIVE", I gote lot 
manual to scan...

I make all PDF, it's real big work...
I dont want any money for this !!!
I need some time to do some think's !!!!
I wnat to put all PDF in Web site... but It's not my only job (it's 
just a Hobbie)...
I don't like bad work !!!

Hi,

To be fair, I think Simon is over reacting about the Fairlight manuals. If
JB is going to take the time to transfer all documentation to pdf files then
its fair enough to pay him a small fee on top of the CD and postage costs.
Why should he invest all this time for free?
 I am just pleased that JB has made the effort to produce everything as a
PDF file. At least he is doing something to help us ...... Now if only I
could buy the ExtOdy !! Comment je peux acheter ce CD de Fairlight JB ? :-)

I don't think Simon is fair with JB.

Who else can say he has paid for original manuals and is willing to  
invest time
and energy to convert them in PDF and then share them for free ?

JB did share the IIx manuals he had long time ago and I don't recall  
anyone
else did the same.... Some of these manuals were sent by Simon. And we
appreciate your help Simon.

Today, JB is helping me a lot to create PDF files for the NED group I  
created
a few weeks ago. Already more than 30 PDFs files are available  
online, and
many more will be coming soon.

This is a huge effort and it takes JB a great amount of his spare  
time. As he
said, its not a business for him, just a hobby, a passion...

Please stay tuned. And don't hesitate to create PDF files from your  
docs !

Of course the copyright of all Fairlight materials belongs to Fairlight,
as JBE freely acknowledges.

I don't have anything to do with the company these days however I would
be happy to discuss with them getting their blessing for the archive
project.  I can't see any reason they would not be very happy to endorse
it.

Let me know if you'd like me to do that.
