I see. That's VERY expensive for a HD. Upgrading would cost substantially more, but it might be worth checking out the benefits, especially if you use your Fairlight a lot.
There was an aution on eBay for many Series 3 parts, which included a brand new HD. The complete package didn't sell (starting bid of 1500 Euros). Maybe you can strike a deal with the seller?!?!
