Fairlight-CMI

A few people have emailed me about the Fairlight on Ebay.
It was a very early series II and had an early Midi interface added.
This is not a IIx. This external midi was added later. The guy told me
it was done for the Band Queen who wanted to use it in their album in
the studio were it came from. I have found out since this was not
true. Queen did have clout with fairlight to produce a one off which
became a handful off and it wasn't that it was the first Fairlight
Series IIL the fore runner to the Series III. This Fairlight interface
was and still is a rare thing as I dont know of any other fairlight
with it. If its still working I dont know but the last time I seen it
working, it was working but we're going back a bit. I would have to
have an interface card inside again a very early Rev. About the light
pen... I've never seen it working it has never had one since I known
it. Everything was done by the keys on different pages. The guy who
your thinking of buying it from got that in a bad state I know that
for sure cause when I last seen it,  it was not working and was being
used as a coffee table.
