Kawai did a few odd synths that were semi addiitive. I have a K1r that with the addition of some reverb is in a similar area. However nowhere near in ease of use, instead of a monitor and lightpen you have a tiny LCD display...

I think the Camel Audio Cameleon plugin is one of the best additive 
engines around at the moment. For hardware, the Kawai K5000 is the way 
to go. Either of these pretty much eats the IIx's lunch soundwise when 
it comes to additive synthesis.

If you just want to imitate (not improve on) the Fairlight's additive 
capabilities, though, I think the DX7 can come pretty close with a LOT 
more controllability.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
