sound Library tapes

2007-11-25 by billyrockplay

hi all - working on a short film project and wanted to use accordian and recorder
instruments. when i tried to get them from my Fairlight sound tapes the tape came off its
spool in the cassette.

Looking to acquire fairlight subscrition tapes (ideally) or comparable from other sound
sources.
any ideas?
Best wishes to all

I've made some recorder samples (and other small flute samples) if those
might be useful. Just single tones. I could send those as WAV files or
whatever if they're helpful (I don't have a Fairlight so can't send them in
a compatible format).

I'm not a skilled recorder player, but I have a basic wooden recorder as
well as an Aulos Tenor recorder. The samples sound better when
appropriately treated, of course. If you need Michala Petri performances
I'm not up to that. :D

Hi all- just want to express my gratitude that this forum exists. my new friend, Andrew,
has already sent me wonderful recorder samples which should prove very useful.
peace

Great; I'm glad they're useful. I'll send you some tenor recorder ones when
I've recorded them, and Balinese Suling flute.

Incidentally if anyone's after cello samples, you can hear mine in action if
you check out Mid-Western Counterpoint on my download page at:

Vince Clarke's Fairlight for sale

2007-11-27 by Andrew

I think Vince Clarke's equipment sale has been mentioned before, but I'm not
sure if the ebay sale of the Fairlight has? My apologies if it has.

The good news is there's no reserve price.

The bad news is you'd need to take boot disks and maybe all the missing bits
with you to test it, and it's also got a bit wet. :D No disks, no cables,
no lightpen, no monitor at the moment but they may find it (maybe it's still
under water?)

Sounds like a possible source of spare parts, anyway, which is why I've
mentioned it -
