Hi All
I have a 1GB Jaz drive with a SCSI cable connected to my CMI, how do
I get my Fairlight to see and format it.
If anyone can help I would be forever greatful.

Hi Colin,

From what I have heard the Jaz will cause directory problems for the CMI.
However, if you set the Jaz to ID 2 and then exit to OS 9 -- if you type:
Scsiformat /sc20 the CMI should recognize and format the cartridge. However
you may encounter problems trying to create a " C " directory. This may have
to be done on the MFX-2 which is much more recent software.
At the moment I haven't been able to access a directory on my Zip but I
think I need to use the MFX-2 to properly prepare the Zip cartridge.I will
keep you posted. I think the Zip seems the most sensible choice for all CMI
users as it is such a common format.

Hi James etc
I have the exact same problem with my jaz drive! Only my series III
stalls in the boot up when the Jaz is connected? How can I get around
this problem?
bye for now
