Pardon my French

Pardon my French

2008-07-13 by dd_62622

OOops!

Bit rude of me ........just to let you now I am into zillion of
different music styles ..mostly pre 88 pop.
kate Bush Stevie Wonder and Gary Neuman live happy together on my
steroset.
I actualy became intriqued by the sound of the Fairlight around 85
I got my first walkman and was given a tape that produced sounds like
I had never heared before.
I lost that tape but the memory of the music stayed alive,
Playing the piano myself and getting into synths later on.,I let a
friend of mine listen to some records just to ask him ..what the hell
where those guys playing? That's a Failight......this was some 15
years ago and from that day on started a serious fascination with the
instrument (esp. the IIx) and It's inventors/designers.

some years ago I found out that the song that started the madness for
me was called "Dieci Piccoli Indiani" from the mind bubbling "Melo"
album by Matia Bazar.
Both the 1985 Melanchòlia and 1987 melo albums are pure cmi
goldmines. : )

Ciao,
David

Good to see that I am not the only one who think those albums are
great pieces of art.
I am always looking for other acts/albums of that period who worked
in that kind of fashion with the cmi.
I can recomend the Alice "park hotel" and the Fiorella Mannoia "di
terra e di vento" album as great works of that period.
a must for serious cmi lovers. : )
