<£250. More if you knew exactly what was wrong with it... In fact, if they can't tell you what's wrong with it, I reckon they should seriously consider donating it to someone who will give it some TLC.

Please help...

I have the opportunity to buy a non-working CMI IIx next week, but
must make an offer that's realistic.
The system might be completely defunct but I don't care.
Has not been used in 15 years and might not even boot up without
serious servicing.
I still want it.
Have seen working CMI's going for £1000, do not know what's fare for
a non working one...

Please please advise on a realistic figure as I want it but must not
insult its owner!

Offered £200 as had to quickly come up with a figure,
will now increase to £250 if necessary.
