on  copper boards?

  Check out my auctions on ebay.
  look up, copper clad laminate.
  I have a lot of sizes,different copper weights and thicknesses.
  FR-4 and CEM.
  Clad and unclad.

I'd vote for abcfab on Ebay - I have bought a good amount of stock 
from them and have been thrilled with the product, service, and 
value. If you don't see the sizes you want, just check back in a 
couple days.

I believe I have orderd 3 times from them and everytime has been a 
good experience.  My last order will hold me over for a while now 
though :-)

Another vote for ABCFAB on eBay.  I wish they had more thin and
single sided boards, but they seem to have more than anyone else.
If you have a local surplus dealer, you can probably get an assortment
of DS cut-offs from large panels at about $0.02/in^2, but finding
single-sided material is quite a pain.

i just leave the second side blank and etch it away as well.
The only single-sided material i have is 0.5mm or maybe 1mm.

As you say it just isn't used so much in PCB shops.


I think there should be large amounts of "cheap" phenolic boards around,  
single sided, like used in cheap televisions and lotsa other stuff. But  
maybe those mass producers are so efficient they do not leave cutoffs ;-)
