Hi I have just joined this group.

I am the author of PCBCAD17 a great PCB design program.
It is available on ebay for just a few pounds.

I'd be ashamed to admit it if I was responsible for something like that. 8-)

Why whats wrong with it?

5000 customers with any serious complaints is nothing to be ashamed about.

What do you mean? Being specific about what you do or don't like is
one thing, just posting a snide remark like that doesn't help anyone.

Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Re: new member

I was just introducing myself and what I do.

Nothing snide about that.

Are you a seller of PCB software?
No one else seems to have got upset at an innocent posting!

He annoyed lots of people on one of the NGs by pretending to be a satisfied
customer, at least he hasn't done that this time. The examples on his eBay
page are about the most amateurish PCB designs I've ever seen!

Not even me...

Though you have "joined" a lot of groups lately, just to promote your
software and not add anything to each groups activities.

How about a little background on you and your software, your website is a
bit sparse, and the software description and examples do not allow a decent
comaprison between your software and others.

Are you really the author?

I was talking to Leon, not you. You appear to be the only one getting
upset, I see the 13 other abusive posts you put up, fortunately I left
you on Moderated status. I also see you posted loads of fake Links
abusing me and others here, and loads of pictures of your face in
other people's Photos folders.

Thunk.

Re: new member

Well, I'd found his past mis-steps on other groups but was willing to
give him a chance here, as he started off on the right foot.

Sadly he's now posted a message (I left him on Moderated status)
saying "Moderator is a f*****g c**k s***ing wanker !!" about 20 times.
Then every reply he posted after that says things like "moderator is a
f*****g c**t", or is just one quoted message repeated about 20 times
just to annoy me, or reply to someone just to insult them, .

Sad, since -I- was kind of defending him. He didn't read closely
enough, he thought I was calling -his- post "snide". If that's all it
takes for such a reaction, I don't want him here.

Phew, that was close! I was waiting to find out a bit more about
his software as I was considering getting it. At the price it was
worth a shot if I could figure out how to use it and such. But,
seeing as he is "one of those", I don't think I want to be doing
business with him.

It's moot, I've banned him. What a jerk.

He's posted fake links abusing me and other members of the list, and
posted pictures of his ass (hence my comment about pictures of his
face) in the Photos section. Maybe in Files, too.

Please let me know if you notice anything I've missed deleting.

I found even more. He posted in Polls, Database, Links, and Photos. I
have yet to scan Files, I'm still cleaning out the Photos.

And I was kind of defending him. Imagine how he'd react to a bug report!

Those resistor symbols look like 5 or 10 watters.

The schematic is also a bit strange (what one can see of it), the way he has
done it makes it rather difficult to follow. I'd have thought he'd have
spent a bit of time tidying it up. It doesn't create a very good impression.

I just looked at the group activity page. He didn't even wait to start
flaming, all that cr@p he posted in Links, Photos, Database, and Polls
was done by him before he sent this reply.

Geez. Whata hot-head.

He just sent something similar to me. I've forwarded it to Yahoo (he has a
Yahoo account) and his ISP.

Well,

I must admit though, I can write some pretty decent software and I
could write PCB CAD software etc as I have already done it for metal
working. However, just because I can write the software does not mean
I know how to design electronics circuits. It's sort of like the guys
on the space shuttle using some of the tools they have. They can get
into space, but can't build the tools they use. Likewise, the guys at
Snapon tools can make the tools, but couldn't get into orbit if they
wanted to.

So, I wouldn't fault him for showing a crude schematic, doesn't mean
his software is bad, just shows he isn't an electronics designer.
Then again, based on his antics today, he isn't much of a business man
either!

Who knows, maybe components can not be rotated in his fab software.

Definitely not a person i want to do any business with, and i feel sorry
for steve that he has to clean up after the tantrum ;-)

So i'd say i can go and update to that new version of Target then? Or are
there and really good packages come out in the last year or so?

Now if one could just moderate the crickets which just took up band
positions outside the window that would be great.... ;-)

And he's rejoined under another profile and kept up his cr@p. I now
have twice as much garbage to clean out of Files, Photos, Polls, etc.

Now he's emailing me abuse off list.

What a jerk. What does he think he's accomplishing?

He's bored?

Maybe you should change the moderation of the board to having their
first message moderated (or something like that) if it keeps up.

Cheers,

Bryan

I just had a look at the files - I can see where his utterances come from.
8-)

Why not moderate all posts, files, etc. Less work than deleting stuff after
it has been uploaded.

That is how the list is set up. That doesn't cover anything but
posting messages. If I had not left him moderated, you'd have all seen
a dozen nasty flames from him.

As it is, I'm still cleaning out his cr@p from this list and
Homebrew_PCBs2.

Because of all this, both lists are now severely restricted regarding
uploading/creation of files, photos, databases, polls, links, etc.

If anyone gets a response from him off list, I strongly suggest you do
-not- reply. Instead, forward with full headers to abuse@... ,
abuse@... , and abuse@...

His current addresses and Yahoo IDs I'm aware of:
cresswellavenue@...
nigelwright7557
ianbowskill
ianbowskill2

I've wasted hours and hours today over this jerk.

I've grown wary of freeware and shareware, this clown just reinforces my
decision to stay with 'brand products' whenever I can.

One thing I've always been afraid of is trojan software. I can easily
imagine this idiot slapping together a freeware, it doesn't have to be
fancy, but inside it has a keyboard scanner that relays key information back
to a remote (like anything that looks like a credit card number).

And this isn't imagination either, 'cause I've bought a keyboard scanner for
my own laptop. I know if a 'guest' got on my personal computer instead of
using the family PC upstairs. Sadly, you can't be too careful today, too
much at stake now that I use credit cards online.

I got one too, of the highly (not) creative kind.
Probably all who took part in this thread got one.

I'd be ashamed to admit it if I was responsible for something like
that. 8-)
