where to get solder paste syringes?

where to get solder paste syringes?

2009-08-20 by Henry Liu

I got some Kester 256 Easy Profile and it came in one of these big
plastic syringes about 1.5" in diameter.

Looks kind of like a cookie dough canister or a caulk canister.

Does anyone where I can get an inexpensive manual dispenser like a
caulk gun or do they make such a thing?

Thanks.
Henry

They do make a manual dispenser for syringes, like a chaulk gun just
smaller. There are two or three sizes I do not know if your syringe
would even fit one. It's quite expensive.

I would recommend a pneumatic dispenser instead. You can buy it new on
ebay from China for 100eur, or surplus even cheaper, or you can easily
make one (just a regulator, solenoid valve, and timer).

if you've got air compressor, maybe you could rig up a hydraulic
dispenser taking some cues from this - cheap plastic syringes as
miniature hydraulic cylinders !!
