Yes that's the workaround - basically use a template and create your midi file from it. And that won't be hard . I'll create it on my PC program and import it. As I said in my first offering, it's pretty dumb that a program that's been around as long as Logic wouldn't be easier to use for midi. Creating events in a text editor one at a time is pretty tedious - even using copying and pasting.
