I'm having a problem working with imported .wav files (in L7). These files play normally in
other audio apps such as Quicktime, but when imported to a Logic audio track, the tempo
of the audio playback doubles (or faster, perhaps), so that recorded audio sounds like a
tape playing in fast forward or rewind speeds. Adjusting the tempo of the sequencer has
no effect on this.

I never had this problem. Could it be that they were not recorded at the standard 44.1mhz and instead at 22mhz or something, and then logic is trying to play them back at 44.1? That would make them twice as fast. Check the Logic preferences for that. And if you can get them to play correctly do Copy/Convert to get them in the format you want.

The sequencer speed never affects audio playback. So thats normal.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
