Well my studio headphones I only use when i'm recording something-  
but I have a set that I use for DJ-ing live that took a beating but  
they managed to hold up quite well-I was constantly twisting the cups  
DJ-style, the cord would be a mess, etc...  I guess I was lucky- they  
work fine... : )
