Yes, that is true.  However, even in 7.x, the exs-24 was not  
available on a node.

This is up to the plugin manufacturer and not up to Apple since the  
copy protection scheme is tied to the plugin and not to the host nor  
the node software.  ie, if the plugin is iLok normally, you'll need  
an iLok on the node machine.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here.  It won't matter if you  
have a PCI version or a PCI Express version.  What I think will  
matter (and I don't know for sure - this is just speculation) is  
whether you have a UAD card in your host and your node or not.  I  
think that you will need a UAD on each node as well as your host in  
order for node processing to work.
