Re: [Logic_Cafe] Re: Cleaner Brighter Logic 8?

2007-10-17 by HKC

I saw a lot of posts when it first came out from people who were trying
to figure out if / how to run it and Logic 7 on the same machine. I
presume that this was because they had ongoing projects in Logic 7 that
they didn't want to take any chances with. It sounds like a lot of you
have spent some time with 8, though. Does anybody still see any reason
that someone who's not in the middle of an existing 7 project shouldn't
just switch over? Are there significant shortcomings of 8 at this
time? I ordered my upgrade, but I'm wondering if I should just go ahead
and install right away or not.

Unless you delete Logic 7 it´s still there. Just press the Logic 7 icon and you´re back in the old version.
I don´t find there are any serious shortcomings with the upgrade. I have had problems with the new take feature but just record the old way an everything will be fine. Some shortcuts have changed so a bit of work has to be done but otherwise it´s pretty familiar.
