Well I just went for it and aside for a few somewhat embarrassing
moments when I had to find a new location for a setting etc I
recorded all the backing tracks for a client without problems. I did
warn them, sort-of, that I was using a new software version. I'm
starting overdubs soon and will be pointing out that everyone says
this new version "sounds better". Now when I fumble around a little
they may not mind as much. My biggest fear was that I will lose track
count etc. on my dual 1.8 but so far I haven't noticed. I have not
checked out the new compressors as I just like the UA ones better
(than 7), but I will be giving them another chance. I say go for it
and you can still use 7 if needed. I haven't looked back... much.
