Imacs allow "dual monitors" but only mirror mode (same content on both 
screens - which is basically useless). Although someone told me there is a shareware 
program that gets around this limitation. The Macbooks will run real dual 
monitors - but one being attached to the laptop does not allow for convenient 
monitor placement side by side.

Another advantage of the G5 and Mac Pro towers is that you can run FW800 
rather than FW400, if you are going to run an external drive.
