Re: [Logic_Cafe] In the Box or Out of the Box Processing??

2008-02-26 by Rob Findlay

I recently got my hands on a focusrite mixmaster which, amongst other
things has a stereo multi-band compressor. I'm taking the master BUS L
+R out the main analogue outs on my Metric Halo ULN-2 thru the
focusrite and back into the inserts and mixing off that. I record it
back to a stereo file when I'm done. I'm liking what it's doing. I'm
not that experienced a mixer and the compression on everything seems
to make it easier for me to pull a good sounding mix together quicker.
It seems to add a sort of hardware mojo to the sound too. When I
disengage the unit it sounds thin now.
